Another week has come and gone:)

Hey Mom,
we are going later today to have a ping pong tournament, so that should be fun. I got this cool new shirt from a ward member, its an FFA shirt from Xenia Ohio its pretty awesome. My week just flew by, we met all of our goals except to get someone to church. The lady we are teaching in the nursing home that was so close to baptism except to stop smoking, is slowly going down hill. She started having all these questions about why if god loves us and if he were in heaven with us, would  he send us to this heck hole. No matter what we say she is like I need bible evidence of the primordial world and there isn't a whole lot. The last night we were there, she was complaining of chest pain. The nursing home was going to send her to the hospital and she refused, well the fire fighters-paramedics were trying to convince her to go and she wouldn't, so they called her guardian (that has the right of attorney) and she told them to take her. So then the cops had to come up, and at this point we just left. but the cops went up and forced her to go and we haven't been back to see her yet, so we're just having loads of fun. The other boy that was going to get baptized (Tristan) got kicked out of his house, but I know its just god telling us he is not ready so we will keep going. So transfers are going to be the 12 and 13th so don't send me anything that will get here after that. thanks so much, I did get my shoes oh and my shoes that I need laces for, have four holes on each side so eight total but kyle has the same kind if you need to look. man I cant wait to ride in that boat!!!

our Kurtis is doing great so I'll just let him do the talking ....

We have a boy named Tristian that might make it to next weekend, he is 18 and we go over and help his mom a lot but she is not interested. He is and we have been teaching him and then right when we were going to ask him to be baptized, we couldn't get a hold of him. Its amazing what the devil will do to make things not happen, but we are trying supper hard.

 So I had an interview with my mission prez this week, it went really well. He did make me nervous though when he told me that he didn't think I realized just how big I am going to be in this mission, and that god has big plans for me to be a leader. Then he said that with in the next few transfers (it could be the next one) that I could be training, or be a district leader. Then he sat and told me that I had to decide right now if I am going to be the kind of missionary that set the standard, or am I going to be the kid that matches the standard. That's keeping me on my toes cuz I don't want to let him down, but apparently I am meant to go very far in this mission. Then he told me that I am a leader and people are going to follow me no matter what do. I have to decide were I am going cuz they are going to follow, I don't want to be the one to lead them down the wrong path. 

Well tell dad I say happy birthday, and they will have to send me a picture of the new boat. you will have to send me a picture of your quilt! Thanks for being right on top of things when I ask for them, I should of asked last week but, I have a pair of church shoes in my closet I think umm  if you wanted to send them with next package you send that would be fantastic. oh and some shoe laces mine are dyeing, but no hurry just in the next package.

I was lucky enough to get two "letter's " this week. "five year's later".... he sent me one in the mail.

 

 

 

Dear my lovely sister,

how are you doing? I hope everything is going well! right now we are teaching a lady named Julie, she is 53 and she really believes everything we teach her. the only hard part is she lives in a nursing home and we have to have her daughter sign a paper saying we can take her out and sometimes that's a chore. we are helping her quit smoking it's crazy flipping everyone out here smokes it's nasty. she says that when the 26 cigarettes she has are gone that she's going to be done, so keep your fingers crossed !!!

well this last Wednesday the 11th I got to go up to the Columbus temple, it was perfect it's kind of weird walking in to a temple that is smaller then a church building. it was so amazing I just love the temple so much but sadly we only get to go every 6 months, but  I am grateful that I do get to go.

Hey girl,

umm you need to pause your daughters life she is huge, and looks totally different I cant have that its not allowed.  My new comp and I are great we are getting along very well, we both sing a lot of country and he is my first comp that even likes country. Yeah its kind of sad not to change areas but its good also, cuz then I don't have to learn a lot of new stuff. But its hard cuz then I am the one that knows everything, and has to lead the other guy around all the time. This week he got his driving privileges back so he is starting to get the hang of things. We just get together and play games on p days, but its nice cuz then you get some time with other people and you get to just hang out. ummm I use to just make like pancakes, a lot of mac and cheese and grilled cheese but the comp I have now likes to shop separate, so I get hot pockets, party pizza and cereal. I make breakfast burritos a lot cuz a lady here gives us 2 dozen fresh eggs every week, so I eat a lot of eggs.  ummm my favorite thing was some iraq food it was good. awwww man I miss that girl so so so much!! umm for Easter what ever the heck you feel like sending me ha ha, Legos are great they are fun when your board.

I got my package thanks so much, I love the tie and the leprechaun poop ha ha that's awesome. we had a really great week, we had this lesson in a nursing home and a lady comes in the room and screams at the top of her lungs "what are you doing in here having a holy ghost party". Its just flying buy, we have a few people that are getting close to getting baptized hopeful they will make it in march. We are doing a thing called march madness, we are trying to baptize 100 in march. well I hope that you have had a good week, sounds like it was packed full of fun. I miss my little buddies a lot. I think I got sun burnt today, we went to a park and played catch, football and soccer and ate ice cream and just had a blast.

 

  I love you so much and I know that you taught an amazing lesson, I know that it touched someone's life even if you don't know it. somehow someone was changed for the better. I hope you know that I miss you so much and that it feels like the days are flying, but at the same time it doesn't ever feel like I will make it to the end. My testimony has grown soooooo much it is amazing what missions really do for the missionary alone, I know that I have learned so much and changed to be a better person. I love you so much mom and I hope that you don't miss me to much. ha ha

Meeting our Goal's

Okay first off I have to go back and clarify that the Elder in the transfer pictures is NOT Elder Cox's new comp, He's actually Elder Cox's OLD comp from the MTC my bad.

 

Ahhhhhhhh your prayers have been answered, we meet the leadership goals! We taught 29 lessons and got 4 new and 5 member presents, and got 2 people at church.  Yes our investigators loved church!!! A skitsafenic  guy got up and started yelling about, something about 4 years and a wheel chair.  I think our investigator in a wheel chair triggered it, so that was exciting. he march right up to the pulpit, then the bishop and council had to push him out the side door to continue with the meeting. the switch got flipped here and its been 50, all the snow is gone. Guess what sister Nash is in my zone. (my mom's cousin's daughter)  I played soccer, volleyball and basketball with her today and another girl from Enoch named sister Lovell.

Dear Mom,
Teaching is going extra well, and we did have a baptism coming up but she hasn't stopped smoking so we are working on that.  So I get called an FBI guy all the time, one time a guy answered his door and said "oh man its the FBI" and I said "sir, that's not funny" and he got all worried. Then this guy with mental stuff comes up to me and goes, "your in the mafia right?! well I am too, so we can be friends" It was great. Well sister Nash is in my zone, I guess we are like 2nd cousins right. Well the kid from my high school is my new companions last partner, apparently he needs to learn something from the cedar boys. I have met a sister from Enoch, ha ha small world. She use to work on the bar 10 ranch in Bundy vill pretty cool. Well that is something I really miss, going camping ahhhh man. wow Bristol is going to be as big as me by the time I get back. ha ha  Well for teaching everyone just really love when you share your testimony, of how you came to know that he was you Savior and redeemer and that you know he loves all of us and would have died for even one of us.

 Well I am staying here but I am getting a new companion........ I am freaking out I don't want to  have to learn someone else, I just learned how to get along with the one I had.  we have had a pretty busy week  we taught probably 5 good lessons a day about, so yes teaching a lot. ha ha 

I barely have any down time really and when I do I just sleep. well I hope you all get feeling better, I had a couple ruff days last week just missing everyone. sometimes it gets to me but I am doing ok now. we got about a foot the other day and church was canceled, so we took our investigators to a members home and watched general conference with them that counted as church. they don't plow very good over here so no one could make it to church. well I love your stinking guts mom

Hey Dad,
 I'm sorry that your sick you better, start sucking on a fisherman's friends then you will feel all better. Well I am staying here but I am getting a new comp. Well other than us getting about a foot of snow Sunday everything has been pretty normal. I'm nervous to get a new companion though, I just got use to this one.  Now that means that I have to know everything about the area and how to get places, I really need that GPS now so if you could get one and send it as soon as possible that would be fantastic other wise I will be lost. I am getting it a little, learning some major street names but holy crap they have no order at all.

ha ha I just got off the phone with the mission president, and my companion that is leaving is becoming a zone leader. He told me I was getting a older well seasoned missionary, that has never been in this area before. He's expecting me to lead and to keep the investigators moving forward, and to continue to baptize. SO I am really nervous but very excited also well I love you get feeling better. :)
