Short and sweet

Kimber,
We had a great week, put 2 people on date for baptisms one for this Saturday and his name is Robert and another for the 8th of August. Its going to be a good transfer, I'm going to the county fair today, we have been doing service for them and for a member with 4 cows, 4 goats and 20 chickens. We've done lots of stuff but I made a few new cow pens, and fixed about a mile of fence it felt like but I loved it. We climbed around in the rafters at the fair and hung lights and fans in the show room for the animals, and last night I got to brand a cow, and tattoo a bunny!! ha ha
It was fun, well I love you

Mom,
I had a long dream the other night, I got home and I asked if we could go camping and you said no. I was like why not you guys went on 49 thousand well I was gone, why cant we go now, it was funny.
Well we have 2 main investigators, Michelle and Robert. Michelle is the one we took to the temple, she should be getting baptized around the 8th. Robert has been taught everything and now wants to get baptized, because his wife who was a less active member wanted to get sealed to him. She got cancer and recently passed away, so he decided he was going to get baptized and go to the temple and get sealed to his wife. It should be awesome other than that not a lot is different.
I love you mom, thanks for all you do for me!!!

hey there sis,
its so good to here from you and not your phone ha ha jk.  I'm glad that Bristol is giving you heck she is doing a good job at holding up uncle Kurds reputation, Has she started telling you no yet ha ha!!  So we had a great week and I'm kind of getting the hang of this whole district leader thing. I get to collect numbers every night, then recollect them and more numbers Sunday then turn them in that night. Then Monday get some goals, have a conference call and announce the goals to the zone, and then tonight get on another conference call and listen to president its nuts. We got to go to the temple again, and we are trying to take a guy named Robert that should be getting baptized on Saturday hopefully. Well tell me what the clues are for Indiana byu box and I will find it ha ha
I love you, www

A lot going on

First my mom sent Elder Cox a message last Tuesday just to see if he was getting transferred and would answer and this is what she got....

Hey Momma
I didn't get transferred, but my new comp is just out of training and really on fire. He is doing awesome, and I became a DISTRICT LEADER!!!! Talk about a lot of stress, my comps name is Elder Manos. (you pronounce it like Monos) He is from Seattle Washington, and a new sister just came into the mission from cedar, that brings the count to 5 cedar city people we're taking over!! I am district leader over the kid that I graduated with that I didn't like in high school, but he is a lot different then he used to be. Well I love you all, and will talk to you on Monday!

on Monday we got to hear a little bit more

Hey Mom
I'm so glad that you guys are getting some time to go camping. All I had to do was leave and you go an a camping spree ha ha just kidding. My first week has been ok just a lot of responsibility, and now I'm not just in charge of myself I'm in charge of 5 other people too! I got to make sure they are doing everything they are suppose to, if the not I got to go on what is called an exchange and I'm there comp for a day. I got to figure out how to excite them, and help them be better. ha ha pretty stressful but other than that I'm doing awesome, and doing well. I don't know if you are keeping track of the weather over here, but it has been crazy. I guess usually about this time of year they have 10 inches of rain, well in the past week alone we have gotten 20, I'm so sick of rain but we are doing really well. Um my new comp is 22 and he is from Seattle Washington, and he has only been out 3 months. He is super fresh, and thinks he knows it all, but we are doing ok we get along pretty well. :) Well my cowboy boot that I brought with me are the ones that I have had from freshman year, and I think its time to retire them. The soul is coming off, and I can see the nails. ha ha  We had a pretty cool experience this week when we were getting dropped off after a dinner appointment. So we had them drop us off close to our next appointment, and we got out and walked across a parking lot and a girl starts chasing us down. She gets up to us and asks us for a book of Mormon, and so we gave her one and asked her why she was interested, and she said that the missionary's used to come and teach her room mates when she was in collage. Her name is Maechelle, and so we went over and had an awesome lesson with her. She already has a amazing testimony of the book of mormon, and she believes that it is way more write than the bible ever was, so we are hoping good things for her. Then we were just walking the other day, and we get a call from the Indianapolis missionary's. They have a man that just moved down here that was suppose to be getting baptized, so they gave him to us. We haven't gone to meet him yet but we are going to go this week when we get the car, so we are hoping to have two more baptisms this transfer. We are super excited, and we are taking everyone to the open house for the Indianapolis temple too, so they are all getting that cool experience. Well I love your guts mom!!

Dad,
Yesterday I got to go to the open house for the Indiana temple, and I'm going to get to go a whole bunch more these next couple weeks. It was so beautiful and amazing I will send some pictures next I am glad that everyone is doing well. I have had a pretty good week my comp is alright, he is 22 though so he thinks he has the right to tell everyone what to do.  I know that I need to be with him for some reason, I just want to thank you dad for always encouraging me to do my best, and to come out here. I know that my life will be forever changed from my experiences here, and I am so glad that I finally have realized how much you and mom really did for me!
Thanks so much, I love you dad.

Serving our brothers and sisters

S
Elder Cox and Nielsen hanging out with the Tuma family.
(we love them by the way, she posts so many picture's on Facebook of Elder Cox that it's so fun to see everything. we are spoiled, it's going to be sad when he move's to a different area:( )

("Had a great day with our missionaries! They worked in our yard and the Widow Houses yard and helped clear out a sun room for them!! It was a lot of stuff that would have taken MUCH longer to take care of if not for their hard work!")
-Quin Tuma

Man that's one thing we were taught how to do well! got to love picking rock's lol

what a stud!  got to love Kasia behind him, she could totally be a sister of ours :)

Working hard and being silly, both things Elder Cox knows how to do well!

Looking good Elder's

the Elders cleaning up the yard with Jordan, Kasia and Jayden

Kimber,
WOW your busy busy! I miss it down there, I just want to go four wheeling and have my truck, I miss my truck a lot! ha ha It sounds like your having a lot of fun with thoughs termites, have you started naming them yet? You could make them pets and you could have a Linda jr. ha ha I met a lady named Linda the other day and all I could think about was you, it was great. Well I love your guts don't have two much fun. Elder Cox

Mom,
The yard looks weird, but I bet it's nice for all the day care kids to have all the extra room.  Well yes they do the forth over here really good, fireworks till 2 in the morning! I got very little sleep but that's ok, it was fun. Well I sent you a package today with a backpack, one of my pairs of long johns and I don't remember what else. It was quite full and made the box not square, so they said that you might have to pay some when you get it because I made it bigger than the flat rate size sorry. But it should be there Thursday. I cant believe that dad is getting his silver beaver, that is so cool it should be awesome! I love you all so so much!! Elder Cox

Hey dad,
Thanks for the story its a good one, and I have seen that. I think its funny cuz we have had all this success lately, and our zone leader asked us how we were doing it. I have a really big reputation for doing a lot of service and that's what I told him, "you got to serve them and do it well." They all give me crap that I don't want to teach, but I do just like to serve people. I got to build about half mile of fence the other day, also made three cow pens, and I fixed the a/c in a members car, then I fix a lawn mower and a weed eater all in a few days.  I mowed like four lawns this week too!! Well I'm getting a new companion tomorrow and I am not very happy about it. I really get along with Elder Neilsen very well, and it turns out he is like my 5th cousin!! ha ha but I'm very sad to see him go, plus it is always hard when you get a new guy. Everyone thinks I'm going to ether start training someone, or become a D.L. but I am not sure, ahhh its stressful but we will see what happens.
Love you so much Elder Cox

(a big thank you to sister Knotts for the picture of elder cox and his new comp)

New Elder Ma'nos!! and crazy Elder Cox!!! Welcome to Connersville
