Meeting new people

Well I thought I would find some cool news stuff to add, considering there was no pictures this week.

so then I thought I would check the weather, DANG!! it's mighty cold over there.

Dear Kimber,

 Your a punk! Your not a grown up, stop buying houses ha ha just kidding. Well we are teaching about 8 people, and a family from Bulgaria. Pretty awesome people they do love the bible though. I'm doing really good, I got to drive all week cuz of the snow and my comp never driving in the snow dang Californians ha ha. So I have been having fun drifting ha ha!

Mom,
I got this one ha ha, I thought it was weird that you hadn't emailed me. Well we are having a little bit better week, they let me drive cuz the snow. So for the first time I get to drive In a big city, there's a foot of snow and I am in a car. Well I won and we didn't die, and we only got stuck twice. Yes he will have to tell me how the rabbit stew goes.  yes its been freezing like 5 and lower, that scarf you sent is perfect, nice and warm. Grandma also sent me one, it is awesome and stretchy! Well we find out next Monday if we get transferred, so I will let you know. We are teaching a lot of cool people right now. Oh yeah its funny everyday our hot water in our bathroom freezes, so we got to take cold showers. I left it dripping the next day ha ha, not doing that again. It sound like you had fun, have to send me pictures of the fish you got at otter. I love
 you and hope everything is going well. I have 19 moths left ha ha. Well Collette didn't get to email on Monday, so I was kind a freaking out cuz I thought she had died or something, stupid  Marti Gras ha ha. Well I love you sooooo much mom, love your Kurtie

 

 

Dad, 
Hey no way I'm keeping the snow, it makes it so I get to drive because my comp never has driven in snow and we almost died.  I drive now, and I am almost done with training too !!! We are teaching this really cool family from Bulgaria, that are 7th day Adventists. They tell us they only are because that's what fits closely to what they believe. Also that if they read the book of Mormon and it didn't contradict the bible and the spirit told them to they would totally be baptized. Then we are teaching a lady named Julie who was in a fire, so she is in a nursing home recovering. If we can get her to the church 3 times, she is going to get baptized in march. she even prays that she will be able too.  I hope you are getting some sleep , you need to come over here the roads suck and they suck at plowing too! They need a lesson ha ha, well I love you thanks for being the best dad ever!! I love you!

well another week has come and the work is moving right along, we are so proud of our little Kurtie. we are so glad that we can share this great adventure with all of you. thank you for supporting him in this journey :) love you all !

Hey Mom,
I am soooooo jealous I want to sleep in soooooo bad, I am going to sleep for three days strait when I get back. its now almost been 4 month's crazy huh, I can't believe it but at the same time it has felt like ages so I don't know how I really fell about it. I got your card the other day it was pretty cute. guess what else I got a letter from amber, she wants me to tell her all about a mission idk what to tell her...? well my comp and I are having some ruff times, he started crying the other day cuz he pissed me off so I stopped talking and stayed in our bedroom all morning. well I studied he keeps telling me he wants me to communicate with him, so I do and he dose stuff anyway. like I told him I was done going to see this lady that just wants to argue so I said we are dropping her, and not five min later he walks up to me and says hey we are going to see her at 5. ooooooo I just wanted to kill him cuz he dose that all the time, but the lord is looking out for us.  right before I was just about to yell our zone leaders knocked on the door, so I talked to him and cooled down ahhhhhh I hate people form California anyway. its almost time for transfers!!
oh interesting story the other day we came out of a appointment where we were talking about how she just got her bed bug problem under control. i looked down and saw 3 bed bugs, now envision me running around screaming like a little girl taking off my clothes. i got home took off all my clothes in our back yard, put them in a garbage bag and dyed them. that's the only way to get rid of them and the eggs they lay. then last night we were planning and a spider crawled up my leg, and this morning I found a really weird bug on the door jam. I am getting all sorts of bits I just wake up and look to see how many new ones I have. ewww the cold needs to go away so the bugs will stay out side! 
hey march second Is transfers so don't send anything next week, but this week should be fine. oh and I want you to send me my roper shoes the all leather ones that are squishy on the bottom please :) oh and I never sent my package yet, I will try sometime but we will see.

Dear Mom,
i will be sending a box home probably today with the 2 pairs of cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, my ctr ring, and a can of skyline chili. (yeah you can buy it at Wal-mart here ha ha)  it snowed here the other day then it got really warm and melted it all,  today it suppose to be really cold ha ha its weird here. it doesn't really rain it just mists all the time, sometimes it dose rain pretty good though too. so the reason I ask if I can just wash my dry clean only is cuz the washable pants are made out of the exactly the same as the dry clean they are both 60% polyester and 40% wool but other than that the week just flew by.  my recent convert made us these cookies ha ha missionary ones pretty cool she said she wanted to do something nice for us because we changed her whole life!

Dear Kurtis,
The cookies are really cute! You just never know how much good your two years out there will do for a lot of people. Kyle said he washed his suit pants. DON"T use hot water if they have wool in them they will shrink. If it changes anything it might make them not be as silky soft, a little more rough. Glad to hear your keeping busy. I will watch for a box. Love your guts

ok we have to pay for our wash anyway so we just wash it all together on warm, ha ha no separating laundry for me.

oh man this kid is pretty crazy, we're going to have to give him some pointers on washing his clothes again. stinking comp. teaching bad habits :p

trying not to get lost

it's just been another normal week, I'm getting a package ready to send home. oh i got this awesome vest, I'll be sending it home. i can't wait to get my package! I'll just keep my shirts till i hear from you, you are still the boss. ooh i told dad but I'm going to need a gps too find my way around here soon. i love you mmmuuaahh

 sounds like you had an eventful week, do you get your old state truck back or our they gonna get you a new one?  zone conference was great, I love hearing from prez Portor! he is so awesome and he just gets me all excited to go out, be bold and preach the gospel. January is already gone, time is just flying away. My companion just hit his year mark, he's kinda a turkey. he just always goes "look at me I'm half way done"  but we are moving the work right along. I'm going on exchanges but my companion is leaving me in our area, so I will have to know were to go and what to do we will see how it goes.  its stupid the streets just have names on roads, so someone gives you an address and with out my companions gps we would never find them. so that is something I will need here in the near future, a gps like a car one that goes on the windshield. well other than that and having a flat tire the other day ha ha... Its a funny storey I filling up the tire with air at the gas station, well the thing got stuck on it so I shook it back and forth. it is a solid metal valve stem so it broke off, so I put on the doughnut. we went to the shop and got a new one for 150 dollars. its the tire pressure motoring kind ha ha opps. love you dad glad your safe and you and Kyle are ok.
